The
Nashville
Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter is proud to support
the prevention of child
abuse through our annual Shamrock fundraising campaign.
Kappa
Delta Sorority began supporting
Prevent Child Abuse America
through its nationwide Shamrock Event in
1983.
Through this fundraising campaign, more than $5 million
has been
raised to benefit child abuse prevention efforts across the country.
Our
Alumnae Chapter has chosen to
donate funds raised
through our Shamrock campaign to the local Exchange
Club Family Center.
Located in Nashville, the Exchange
Club Family Center is a
private,
non-profit child abuse prevention center that serves over
15,000 individuals
through parenting classes and support services.
The
programs that the Exchange Club
Family Center provides
are vital to so many at-risk families in middle
Tennessee.
Please
help us break the cycle of
child abuse by supporting this worthy cause.

How
our Alumnae Chapter supports the Exchange Club Family Center:
|
• Silent Auction
– The Nashville Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter provides an amazing silent
auction at our annual Christmas Party. Attendees have the opportunity
to bid on several great items. All proceeds benefit the Nashville
Exchange Club Family Center and Prevent Child Abuse America. This
past year, we raised $7,500 for this worthy cause.

Several
alumnae chapter members attend the Exchange Club’s annual Wednesday’s
Child fundraising dinner and silent auction. This event,
which is held each April, is chaired by Kappa Delta alumnae and raises
over $75,000 in funds needed to support the Exchange Club’s efforts to
prevent child abuse.

•
We collect items from the Exchange Club Family Center’s Wish List at
our annual Cinco de Mayo celebration. Last year, we collected over $750
worth of supplies for the center and snacks for the children sponsored.
